Birmingham Rep is to present its family Christmas classic The Snowman for the 28th year at Sadler’s Wells’ home in the West End, the Peacock Theatre, with a six-week run from Saturday 22 November to Sunday 4 January. A magical stage adaptation of the much-loved picture book by Raymond Briggs and the film directed by Dianne Jackson, The Snowman is an annual fixture in the West End during London’s festive period.
Music of the Week
Each November, for one hundred years, the nation has stopped to commemorate and reflect on the service and sacrifice of our Armed Forces. In London, this takes place on Remembrance Sunday and Armistice Day – the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month, when peace fell in 1918 at the conclusion of the First World War.

Visitors to London this festive season won’t want to miss Sophie’s Surprise Party, an immersive circus spectacle making its West End debut at Underbelly Boulevard Soho until 10 January. Following a sold-out run at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, this show combines thrilling world-class circus acts with the nostalgic energy of ’90s and early 2000s house parties – a unique entertainment experience unlike anything else.
